"Sixto Diaz Rodriguez" is an American singer from Detroit, Michigan. His song "Sugarman" from the album "Cold Fact" was a hit in South Africa and Australia, and is still often played on radio. The song 'Sugarman' has been remade by Just Jinger, and more recently Paolo Nutini. Due to his practical retirement from the music industry and consequent low profile, he was widely rumoured to be dead, but toured South Africa in 1998. He is politically active, and has run for public office in Detroit four times.
